Due to migration, society changes for everyone, yet only one part of the population is expected, often forced, to actively adapt: migrants, Others. The School of Two-Sided Integration proposes a different model: one in which migration is no longer seen as something done by the Other, but as a co-creation in which locals and non-locals alike take an active role. Through participative art processes, the project re-examines and remodels the relationship between local and non-local communities and asks what it truly means to build a functional host society.
